Queer Theory ist eine Kulturtheorie, die den Zusammenhang zwischen gesellschaftlichen Geschlechterrollen, sexuellem Begehren und biologischem Geschlecht kritisch untersucht. Queer Theory steht in engem Verh�ltnis zu Gender Studies, bezieht sich aber im Unterschied zu diesen vor allem immer wieder auch auf den zentralen Aspekt der Identit�tsfindung des bzw. der nicht konformen Einzelnen. H�ufig werden allerdings beide Ans�tze vor allem im deutschsprachigen Raum nicht scharf voneinander getrennt, weshalb wir sie bei uns unter einem Schlagwort fassen.
