Rock Hudson eigentlich Roy Harold Scherer, Jr.
(* 17. November 1925; † 2. Oktober 1985) war ein schwuler US-amerikanischer Schauspieler.
In den 1950er und 1960er Jahren war er ein gefragter Hollywood-Schauspieler, unter anderem in den Melodramen von Douglas Sirk sowie als Komödiendarsteller an der Seite von Doris Day. Rock Hudson starb als einer der ersten Prominenten an den Folgen von AIDS und sorgte 1985 zusammen mit dem jungen Aktivisten Ryan White für die Vervielfachung der US-amerikanischen AIDS-Berichterstattung.
