Set in Maggie Thatcher's Britain during the 80s, this British feature film tells the story of Dean, a shy, 18-year-old working-class lad from Romford who has been kicked out by his abusive father. He heads for London and meets up with the gallery owner and society hostess Lady Gryffoyn. However, after being expelled from the Gryffoyn household, Dean assumes the identity of Lady Gryffoyn's son, Alex, to continue the privilege of being a Lord. Moving to Paris, Dean befriends Benjamin, an adorable drug-fueled American boy-toy, and his lover, David, an older playboy who also pines for the virginal Dean's affections. But the Fraud Squad closes in on Dean.
