The »Ten Years of Elska: Special Retrospective« celebrates our milestone anniversary by taking a look back at our favourite stories and portraits from the first ten years of Elska. Inside are 50 chapters, each dedicated to one elskan and their story from all of our first 50 issues. With nearly 800 local boys and local stories featured so far, it's pretty much impossible to choose favourites. The retrospective contains a travelogue from Paris about some men discovered (and fallen for) during a road trip around Eastern Europe, a call from Odesa to understand, or at least think more about, what's happening in Ukraine, a diatribe from Belfast about the rampant homophobia in Northern Irish society, a tale from Manila of how to flirt on a super-crowded Metro train, an ode from Pittsburgh to the pleasures of being part of a throuple, an account from Salt Lake City about coming of age and coming out in Mormon a community, a memory from Tbilisi of what the author, as a little boy, felt when Russia invaded his country, a recollection from Providence of a typical night out, including good music, good men and good porn, a poem from Mumbai about a fascination for foreskins, and a story from Montréal about falling in love in the car park of a poutine joint while singing along to some songs on the radio.
