Thema: Allen Ginsberg

Irwin Allen Ginsberg
(* 3. Juni 1926 in Paterson, New Jersey; ? 5.

50 years ago, Norman Mailer asserted, »Burroughs is the only American novelist living today who may conceivably be possessed by genius.« Few since have taken such literary risks, developed such individual political or spiritual ideas, or spanned such a wide range of media. Burroughs wrote novels, memoirs, technical manuals, and poetry. He painted, made collages, took thousands of photographs, produced ... Weiterlesen

An edge city, overlooking both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, Tangier is more than a destination, it is an escape, and the »Interzone«, as William Burroughs called it, has attracted spies, outlaws, outcasts and writers for centuries - men and women working out at the edge of literary forms, breaking through artistic borders. This outlaw originality is what most astonishes ... Weiterlesen

East Hill Farm soon became home to those who sought pastoral enlightenment in the presence of Ginsberg's brilliance and generosity. ... Weiterlesen

Weiterlesen
