Reinaldo Arenas Fuentes
(* 16. Juli 1943; ? 7. Dezember 1990) war ein schwuler kubanischer Schriftsteller und Dissident.
Arenas setzte seine Hoffnungen auf die Möglichkeit eines offen schwulen Lebens zunächst auf die Revolution Fidel Castros, doch er geriet gerad wegen seiner offen gelebten Homosexualität immer mehr ins Fadenkreuz von Polizei und Staatssicherheit. Nach Verfolgung und Haftstrafen gelang ihm 1980 die Ausreise in die USA. 1990 nahm sich Arenas in der Endphase von AIDS das Leben.
