Die Cambridge Apostles (Cambridge Conversazione Society oder The Apostles)
ist eine elitäre intellektuelle Geheimgesellschaft an der Universität Cambridge und wurde 1820 nach dem Vorbild einer Freimaurerloge gegründet.
Bekannt und berüchtigt wurde die Gesellschaft vor allem durch die so genannten Cambridge Five, einem Spionagering der im zweiten Weltkrieg und noch lange danach wertvolle Informationen an die Sowietunion lieferte. Schon vorher galt die Geheimgesellschaft als ein Hort von Homosexualität und Marxismus ? die Tatsache, dass zwei führende Spione der Cambridge Five schwul waren, lieferte diesem Generalurteil weitere Nahrung.
