(* 26. März 1911; ? 25. Februar 1983) war ein schwuler US-amerikanischer Schriftsteller.
Frank Merlo war seit 1947 Tennessee Wiliiams? Lebensgefährte, die in dieser Zeit entstandenen Werke gelten als seine besten. Das Stück »Die tätowierte Rose« ist Frank Merlo gewidmet. Zwar ist auch immer wieder offen von Homosexualität in Tennessee Williams? Stücken die Rede, vor allem aber durch den schwulen Subtext sind alle immer noch schwule Klassiker.
